GGIC Chokecherry Tea
GGIC Chokecherry Tea
Geraldine Goes In Center
Historically, Sápa Cáŋpa Wahpé (chokecherry tea) always provided food and medicine to the Plains Indigenous population. It is now known that the berries contain high levels of vitamins, antioxidants, and polyphones that reduce the threat of cancer and heart disease. The Amygdaline content in the crushed seeds stimulate respiration, aids digestion, and provides comfort in health & well being. Chokecherry tea is used to treat everything from anxiety, colds and childbirth pain.
This tea is blended with berries, seeds, bark and leaves. These single use tea packets (Sápa Cáŋpa Wahpé) are made by local artist Geraldine Goes in Center.
Directions: Steep tea bag in 1 cup of boiling water for full benefits.
